Create mini-garden planters and learn about herbs and vegetable plants.
Day 2: Terrariums
Learn about terrariums – varieties, uses, care, how they mimic an ecosystem – and build your own terrarium to take home.
Day 3: Farm to Table
‘Discover where your food comes from.’ Explore how to grow, harvest and prepare fresh produce.

Students will design, build, and launch Rockets. Competitions will be judged on speed, design, and endurance.

Rockets will be designed by students.
Day 2: Build
Students will build rockets based on their designs.

Explore the world of livestock and companion animals!
Day 1: Animal Care, Health and Nutrition
Learn the signs of good and poor animal health and introduction to veterinary medicine.
Day 2: Companion Animals
Interact with dogs, rabbits, and guinea pigs and explore their training, care, and enjoyment.
Day 3: The Large Animal Industry
Explore the art of caring for and raising livestock, including sheep, goats and chickens.

Culinary Camp: Savory to Pastry

Designed for students who are serious about cooking and creating epic food masterpiece!
Day 1: Baking
Quick breads, Biscuits, and Yeast Products; Cake Decorating; Pudding, Mousse, and Pâte à Choux; Cookies.
Day 2: Culinary Passport
International Cuisine; Sanitation & Safety and Knife Skills; Home Pasta, Raviolis, Gnocchi & Pesto; Meatball Wellington; Oriental Flair - Pad Thai to Won Tons.
Day 3: Individual Talents
Students will choose a path of Pastry or Culinary for the day. Pastry will include cake design and elevated baking creations. Culinary will include ethnic cuisine and culinary wonders.

Calling All Aspiring Art Directors

There is a new product on the market that needs creative people to come up with an ad campaign. Students will use the state of the art Apple computers, software, and digital cameras to create a label, buttons, and a commercial to promote their product.
Day 1: Brainstorm
All students will create a new drink; example: a fruit juice or flavored soda, etc. mixture.
Day 2: Collaborate
Students will be divided into groups to create a logo, a printed label, and produce a commercial.
Day 3: Advertise
Students will use the digital camera to create a skit. They will edit movies in Imovie and post the final commercials to YouTube.

You will learn basic first-aid such as how to assess an emergency situation, assist a choking victim, stop bleeding, help in a diabetic crisis, and assist a person who may be having a stroke. Whether you are at your friend’s house or at a baseball game, knowing how to react to an emergency until help can arrive may save a life.
Day 1: Check-Call-Care
Basic training in response to an emergency situation such as CHECKING the scene and person; CALL 911 and CARE for the person. Included will be assisting a choking victim; checking for consciousness.
Day 2: First-Aid for Common Medical Conditions
Hand hygiene/germs;bed-making; brief overview of health field/careers.
Day 3: Injuries and Treatment
Wounds, including cuts and punctures; burns, including chemical and electrical; injuries to the face and chest; dislocations, sprains and broken bones; head, neck and spinal injuries.

This three-day beauty camp is being offered to students who are interested in experiencing a state of well-being with the ultimate spa experience.
Day 1: Manicures and pedicures (Students will learn the proper procedure, sanitation and safety of a basic manicure, including a paraffin hand treatment on partners. Student will also learn the proper procedure, sanitation and safety of a basic pedicure on a partner.)
Day 2: Pedicures (Students will learn the proper procedure, sanitation and safety of shampooing a partner and basic hairstyling.)
Day 3: Facials and skin care (Students will learn the proper skincare and the facial procedure including specialty masks and packs on a partner.)
